Liv's Buddy Miles

Oh sweet little Miles! Miles was born on the same day as Olivia, and is the son of a long time friend of the Davis family. Deborah and Liz Shumate lived in the same neighborhood as Trevor's family growing up and they have all remained very close.

Miles's mom, Deborah, delivered Miles at another hospital just a few hours after Olivia was here. Olivia and Miles have met a couple times since then, although I'm pretty sure neither of them have any idea they've met! A couple weeks ago, at the Davis Family Shower, we put the two of them in the pack n' play together and took pictures. It was quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen!

Enjoy these pics!

A visit from Papa and Mama B!

Two weeks ago my parents came in town for a visit all the way from Minnesota. It was so nice to spend time with them and to see them interact with Olivia. The visit of course seemed too short, but we tried to soak up as much quality time as we could. The next time we'll see them will be Christmas and we can't wait! Olivia will be so big by then!

Here are a few pictures from our trip to POPS. If you aren't familiar with POPS, it's a restaurant, gas station and convenience store on Route 66. They have over 400 different sodas to choose from! It was fun experience!

Tired . . .

Although our nighttime feedings are getting much better . . . interrupted sleep still leaves parents tired. I just had to share these pictures from a few nights ago . . .

Trevor had just finished feeding Olivia and his long day was catching up with him as you can see in his sweet face . . .

Olivia was pleasantly full and beginning to feel the effects of a nice food coma . . .

I was messing around on the computer and Trevor said he was going to go lay the baby down and would be back. I wasn't really paying attention to time until I realized he hadn't returned and I hadn't heard a peep from either of them for about 30 minutes. . .

I went in our bed room to check on them and found this . . .

I grabbed the camera, snapped a few shots, then woke Trev up and put the baby in bed. Needless to say . . . some catch up sleep is needed. :)

Trip to the Farm!

Trevor's parents live in Crescent and have beautiful land all around them. We try to go out and visit as much as we can and it's always fun when we do! The last time we went, the whole family was there and Miss Olivia received a bunch of deserved attention!

Grammy Davis has an old scale hanging in the corner for decoration . . . and we've been dying to know how much Olivia weighs, so you guessed it! We took it down, wiped it out and laid our chunky monkey in the scale! It said she was between 7.5 and 8 lbs!

Uncle TJ also held her for the first time. It was so cute! I think he's ready for her to be able to play and run around, and of course he'll be taking her fishing as soon as she can walk!

We also went down early so we could spend more time with Grandma and Grandpa Davis. Grandma Davis is so sweet and gentle with Olivia. It's awesome to see them together.
Olivia is so blessed to be surrounded by family that adores her so much!

Lovin' Her Daddy!

For the last week or so, Olivia has been having a hard time in the evenings. After lots of sleepless hours, crying and projectile vomit we talked with doctor and discovered that we think she has a case of reflux. It's basically caused by immaturity in her esophagus causing her to be pretty uncomfortable.

Trevor and I are definitely learning a few lessons in patience. Trevor has been so sweet with her, trying all sorts of things to make her feel better.

Last night, at LifeGroup, while Olivia was having a hard time settling down, Trev took her in and played the piano for her. She was out like a light! It was so sweet to walk in and see her asleep in his arms as he played BEAUTIFUL music.

Bath Time!

Just like her mama, Olivia LOVES the water! She especially loves when the faucet runs on her sweet belly. Speaking of belly . . . look how round her belly is! During her bath, as long as she just gets to relax in the warm water she is perfectly content. However, once we start washing her and pull little arms and legs out of the water, she begins to fuss! I think we may have a little fish on our hands. It'll be so fun to put in a swim suit next summer and go swimming! Enjoy the pics! (My favorite is the 3rd one down, so stinkin' cute!)

Livvy's Room

For all of our out of town family and friends, we thought we'd share some pictures of Olivia's room.

Trevor and I worked so hard making it perfect, although there are a few things unfinished . . .
Who knew she would come so early!

Once we found out we were having a girl, I went a bit crazy with the pink! I just love it!

This is a painting that my good friend Elizabeth made for Olivia's room!

I absolutely love it!

Our Baby Has Rolls!!!

Everyday, our baby is getting bigger and bigger! The other day when Olivia and I were cuddling on our bed, I began noticing how much she is growing! Our long, skinny, newborn is becoming a chubby baby. I just had to grab the camera and share!

She is quite the wiggle worm so that's why I'm holding her arms and feet!

She has these cute back rolls . . .

Rolls around her little knees . . .

And just look at that double chin

One Month Old!!!

Wow! The last month has flown by! I can't believe that it was an entire month ago that our little peanut came out screaming! We have been having so much fun with Olivia. She is absolutely precious, and it is very evident that although she was our little surprise, God knows exactly what He is doing and has blessed our lives with her in amazing ways!

Can you believe how big she is getting!? Hopefully, her arms won't be so out of control in the months to come, ha ha.

ZZZZzzzzzzz

Because Olivia is only a couple weeks old, she of course, spends most of the day sleeping. Her facial expressions, grunts, and wiggles make watching her sleep one of the most precious times of my day. She is beginning to show more and more of her personality even in the ways she will and will not sleep according to what is comfortable at the moment.

In particular, she now prefers to be swaddled but only with her arms free and flying! And believe me, even when she is sound asleep those arms go flying!

We did find a really cute sling that she absolutely loves! Trevor wore it all last week at our 3 day staff party. It was so cute to see the proud daddy walking around with his little girl in tow. We even hung her in it from our bedroom door knob while she napped!

Each day, with each little nap, I'm reminded that she is growing quickly. We are cherishing all of the little things and look forward to all of the little things to come . . . even if it means less sleep for mommy and daddy. . . :)
